A tubal ligation is a very safe form of permanent birth control. Most women will not experience complications from the procedure.
Serious problems are rare, but you should contact your doctor if you experience any of the following:
- Fever
- Severe stomach pain
- Trouble breathing
- Unusual vaginal discharge
- Bleeding or pus from the incision
