About Dr. McCants

Dr. McCants grew up in Kansas City, and then came to Texas for all of her schooling. She received her bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. She then went across the DFW metroplex to the University of Texas at Southwestern for Medical School. She then began her career at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas as a resident physician in obstetrics and gynecology.

She is board certified for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, She is on the faculty for the resident training program at Baylor University Medical Center, and is committed to education of doctor’s in training. She has many awards under her belt from medical school and residency. She is a member of AMA, TMA, Dallas County Medical Society, and a Junior Fellow of American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

She is proficient in many procedures including office procedures, such as endometrial ablation and LEEPs, as well as hospital surgeries including advanced laparoscopy, vaginal surgery and urogynecologic procedures. She enjoys contraception counseling and management, basic infertility, and management of abnormal pap smears. She is excited to tackle new pregnancies, both uncomplicated and high risk. In her spare time away from work she adores spending time with her husband and 2 sons.
