Dr. Kurian grew up in San Antonio, Texas. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She then graduated from Texas A&M University College of Medicine with honors, and completed her residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. At Vanderbilt, Dr. Kurian was elected as chief resident, and was voted one of 2004 Berlex Laboratories Best Second year Teaching Residents. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, completed in December 2008. She is a member of the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association, and the Dallas County Medical Society. She holds a faculty position at Baylor in the residency program, taking an active role in residency training and education. Dr. Kurian has a special interest in routine and high-risk obstetrics, annual gynecologic exams, abnormal Pap smear evaluations, contraception, and gynecologic surgery. She is certified to perform many in-office procedures, including Essure hysteroscopic tubal ligations, endometrial ablations, and excision procedures for cervical dysplasia. She and her husband are the proud parents to two boys, Noah and Lucas.
